Today, the unapologetically fierce Vancouver band WAIT//LESS release “No Fruit”, the first single off their upcoming album titled My World. Recorded with Howard Redekopp (Mother Mother, Tegan and Sarah) and Erik Nielsen (Rich Hope, Blue Moon Marquee), the album showcases their rugged and ruthless sound in the highest quality recordings yet.

Singer Rebecca White says of the single, “No Fruit is a story about fucking your life up to the point that you are disabled/cannot support yourself, so you are at the mercy of the welfare programming of the government. If you cannot pay your bills you will cease to exist.  The walls are caving in as you realize the best option in front of you is simply death. Will the elected decide it’s more worthwhile to fund death (MAID) or healing? How long can you wait until the fruit rots?”. Their sound has been described as a car-crash blast of post-hardcore, punk attitude, and raw rock-and-roll chaos, and the recordings on My World do not disappoint.

Known for their raucous live performances featuring White on vocals, Allie Sheldan on bass, Trevor Stoddart on guitar, and Michael Weiss on drums, WAIT//LESS will be taking their show overseas for performances in London and Hamburg (the latter as part of the Reeperbahn Festival), afterwards stopping in Toronto for Second Summer Festival with additional dates in Ottawa and Montreal.
